Submission Requirements

List each assessment task's title, type (eg project, observation/demonstration, essay, assignment, checklist) and due date here

Assessment task 1: [title]      Due date:

(add new lines for each of the assessment tasks)

Assessment Tasks

Copy and paste from the following data to produce each assessment task. Write these in plain English and spell out how, when and where the task is to be carried out, under what conditions, and what resources are needed. Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.

This field allows for different work environments and conditions that may affect performance. Essential operating conditions that may be present (depending on the work situation, needs of the candidate, accessibility of the item, and local industry and regional contexts) are included.

The systems and equipment covered by this unit are found in stationary and mobile plant used in one or more of the following:

mining

agriculture

forestry

construction

transport industries

External monitoring and control systems include one (1) or more of the following:

integrated original equipment manufacturer (OEM) management and monitoring systems

bolt on systems

remote control and guidance systems, including on and off site remote control systems

single equipment system telemetry and monitoring systems

multi-mode systems allowing choice of operator control, semi-autonomous and fully autonomous control

load and yield management and monitoring

equipment condition monitoring and reporting systems

safety related systems, including proximity awareness and collision avoidance systems

Communication and data exchange method includes one or more of the following:

satellite

Wi-Fi

cellular

radio

global positioning system (GPS)

laser

Hardware and components include one (1) or more of the following

on-board electronic control modules (ECMs)

connectors

memory and communication interfaces

ethernet connectors

broadband transmitter/receiver (could be built into other hardware e.g. a PC)

radio frequency (RF) transmitter/receiver

laser transmitter/receiver

GPS receiver

satellite dish/aerial

displays, buzzers and signal lamps

operator switches and controls

antennae

fieldbus cables and connectors to other on-board systems and ECMs

sensors

radar

cameras

service ports

power input

service ports to allow for laptops and other test instrumentation to be connected (e.g. USB, serial and connecting cables)

External communication systems can be related to single equipment system which include one (1) or more of the following:

engine

tyres

load monitoring and reporting

Copy and paste from the following performance criteria to create an observation checklist for each task. When you have finished writing your assessment tool every one of these must have been addressed, preferably several times in a variety of contexts. To ensure this occurs download the assessment matrix for the unit; enter each assessment task as a column header and place check marks against each performance criteria that task addresses.
